So I've been wondering if I should try to find some theme for my blog which I can regularly post on, in a vain (and I use that word precisely) attempt to drum up readership. But then I got to thinking: Maybe picking a topic for this blog would be the one thing I can never really do. I mean, look a the title and subject line of the blog as a whole! Picking a topic would be fine as long as I was sure to eventually wander from it.
Besides, for all I know, there are MILLIONS of readers out there in the interwebs who check this blog hourly, salivating for just one more tidbit to fall from my fingers.
Okay, I can tell by looking at Google's Analytics site that that's not true. For example:
- In the last month, my record traffic in one day was on November 12th, when I received a grand total of...(hold your breath)...5 hits!
- In the last month, I have had 40 hits from the USA, 1 from Canada, and a handful from Europe (Great Britain, Italy, Uzbekistan, etc.) I can only assume that most of these people stumbled onto my blog by accident, when searching Google for...something else.
But all that aside, why should I care how many people read my blog? It's not like I'm trying to say anything deeply meaningful. Although, I have to admit: the times when I have something meaningful to say, I wish I had a large readership to hear it and tug at their beards, and say, "Ahh, hmm, very thoughprovoking."
Oh well.

You made me laugh. I read your blog on bloglines, so I have no idea if it shows up anywhere in your stats...
