The Possum Approach

I had a thought today, while riding home, about what to do in the event that I was in a bank or cetera during a robbery/hostage situation. (Don't ask why I was thinking about hostage situations. I don't recall.) I came up with what I think would be a genius plan to not get taken as a hostage, and possibly get an opportunity to surprise the bad guys: the Possum Approach. It works like this:

1) If possible, get the attention of one of the bad guys. If not, go with another person near you.
2) Tell them that you have narcolepsy, and that it tends to kick in during high stress situations.
3) Start to act a little woozy.

You now have a perfect excuse to sit/lay/fall down at any point that it seems appropriate. And, as an added bonus, it is probably fairly unlikely that you will get taken as a hostage, given someone will have to carry you.

Genius!
